Rajasthan's miniature paintings are fascinating and renowned. Infact seven different schools or styles of painting were developed over a period of time during various regimes. The miniature style of painting developed in kingdoms from the 16th century to the 18th century. The colours of Rajasthan painting were bolder. These paintings are referred to as Rajput paintings. Different colors and styles were used by different schools, for example Green color is extensively used in Jaipur & Alwar school of paintings. Yellow color is used extensively in Bikaner and Marwar school. Red color is used in Udaipur style while blue color is used in Kota school of painting. Pink or white color is used in Kishangarh style while on the other hand golden color was used in the Bundi style of painting.

After a general information we can watch the painter at his work and try some drawing on our own on cloth and paper. Fresco painting is provided.
